So far I think I'm approaching the brush work as if I'm sketching and shading with a pencil and this causes blemishes from the embossment such as on the top lip and the hair. Details such as the ears need more definition and the right arm is a tad skeletal. I reckon she will be holding perhaps a hat in her left hand but I didn't feel confident enough to design and paint one just yet without it becoming a bit of an undefined mess. Similarly the dress work is very average and one of the many things I will need to practice on.
On the whole though I'm feeling encouraged by this forays result.
